Traffic in delivery area, slips/trips/falls, communication errors
Set up safety cones to direct traffic, clear delivery area of obstructions, verify delivery documentation
Fuel spills, static electricity, improper connections
Verify proper grounding, inspect hoses for damage before connecting, ensure proper connection procedures are followed
Overfilling, leaks, unauthorized access to area
Continuous monitoring of fuel levels, regular inspection of connections during unloading, maintain safety perimeter
Residual fuel in lines, improper disconnection, spills
Follow proper disconnection procedures, have spill kit ready, ensure proper drainage of lines before disconnection
Documentation errors, failure to identify issues
Use delivery checklist, perform thorough post-delivery inspection of delivery area and equipment
In case of fuel spill, immediately stop the delivery process, contain the spill using available spill kits, and notify the environmental response team. All personnel involved must have completed Fuel Handling Safety Training.
